ASCENDING 16

Sixteen silver balloons filled with helium rise and fall at irregular intervals in the Galerie im Turm. The surroundings, the space, and the visitors are reflected in their shiny surfaces. Guided by white threads attached to winding motors, the balloons float upwards in synchronous pairs or groups, and sink back down again. The performance is accompanied by the rhythmic sound of the motors, which underlines the up-and-down movement of the balloons.
